Artist description
Redsavior burst into existence December 31, 1999 and since that time has garnered the interest of several small labels, experienced producers and radio stations worldwide. Originally, redsavior started as an experimental ambient, trance and techno band but recently has settled down to produce tribal and progressive house. Musically, redsavior draws upon several big names for inspiration such as Steve Lawler, John Digweed, and Jimmy Van M. The goal is not to produce copies of their work, but to constantly grow and improve with each release.
Early 2001 marked major changes in the redsavior story. N*Soul Records, Inc. picked up Searching for You for their Eclectica 4: New Reality Trance compilation and the Industrialize-techno band Sheltershed commissioned a remix from redsavior which was also released through N*Soul. These two releases led to a series of remixes of Searching for You form industry veterans Antidote, Prophecy of P.A.N.I.C. and Sheltershed and some new faces as well. 3 Cell Records, Inc. later picked one of these remixes up, Inc. for a compilation called Tuned.
In 2002, redsavior continued to develop as a musical entity. Two singles were released. New Primitive which was a very minimal tribal track with only a baseline and drums. The original mix reached the number 3 spot on the besonic.com USA Dance Charts and is a regular top 20 favorite on the mp3.com tribal charts as well. the track was remixed by Secret Archives of the Vatican, EnKreist, Baad House, and Redsavior. The second single was NoEvil. NoEvil is another tribal house track that was based on the 23rd Psalm. In mid-January 2003, NoEvil rose to the number 1 tribal track on mp3.com. This single was remixed by Sheltershed, Prophecy of P.A.N.I.C., Danyen, Boycee, Prophectica and Dr. Siminz.
2003 should be the year that Redsavior will release his first vinyl. A 3 track demo is almost complete and will be sent out to various labels.

Press Reviews
'"Breathe (Drowning Inside Me Mix)" is by David Richardson aka Redsavior. It's a very Tribalish Remix with loads of different kinds of percussion, but there is also some great synthwork too and this is probably the best thing Reds has done to date. The riffs are catchy, the synths are dark, and the percussion pounds you, and all in all this track really moves! Throw in a dash of the female vox from the original and you have icing on the cake.' - Carey Jarvis, the Dance Chapel |
