Artist description
RDP play an explosive and emotional hybrid of alternative and rock. A show could start off with spaced-out songs filled with trippy hooks and melodies, then flow into soft soothing grooves, and then build into a frenzy of punching guitar attacks, pounding drums and bass, and cutting vocals. The various influences of the band have blended together to create a sound that is not seen often in today's general market. The band's innovative songwriting has wowed audiences for the past few years as something that is fresh, creative, and needed badly in the general market. Every song is thick with emotion, that can be heard from every instrument, along with the stricking vocals. Their lyrical style has impressed many people with their serious tone that is poetic, and still very accessable.RDP have found a style that fills a void, breaks genre barriers, and reignites the audience's interest in music. |

Artist History
RDP have been playing together since 1997. All the members have been in other bands before, but have finally found their niche in RDP.RDP have played at local festivals, "battle-of-the-band"s, and clubs, and have also toured Canada, including a brief appearance on MuchMusic, Canada's largest TV music station. In 1999 they released their first independent CD "Endless Display" which is being sold on several websites, and in all major CD stores in RDP's hometown of St.John's. While fairly new on the local scene, they have a loyal fan following, and have shipped CDs across North America.Recently, RDP have played shows cities across Newfoundland, and won BandBlast '99, Memorial University of Newfoundland's band competition. With a number of large gigs ready for Spring 2000, things are looking very good for RDP. |

Press Reviews
"The songs are strong, well-played and compelling. Rod Miles' vocals have a great edge to them which - when backed up by the great drum sounds of Chris Gamberg, the guitar lines of Andrew Collins and Craig Cole, and Steve Cole's bass - gives us a solid rock sound that stacks up well against anything I've heard in recent months."Mark Vaughan-Jackson, The Telegram Named "Hottest Band at the turn of the Millenium" by MASS magazine |
