Joshua Ellis is a singer-songwriter who takes a slightlydifferent take on music than most other current artists. Hisinfluences are as diverse as the formal intellectualism of Brian Eno,the electronic sounds of the English trip-hop scene, the southern gothicambience of Tom Waits and Nick Cave, and the literary styles of authorsfrom William Gibson to Neil Gaiman."I've been a music critic for years," says Ellis, "andI decided that it was time to stop bitching about thelack of quality in current music and make some of my own." |
