Artist History
Jim Griffin is a singer, songwriter and musician with a musical career that spans over the last 25 years. He grew up in a small western Massachusetts town called Longmeadow along with old-time friend Aaron Lewis (Staind) and Joe Santiago (the Pixies). He's played all over the country with several bands including J. Geils, NRBQ, the Sighs, the Cow Tippers, Cosmos Factory, and Innerstate Johnson. He began his solo career after moving to Salt Lake City in 1997 and has entertained audiences all over Utah. His "Redneck Song" was the # 1 Country Music Song in Utah on MP3.com for 9 months in 2001. Jim now owns and operates Utah's hottest karaoke entertainment service (Cloud 8 Karaoke) and is back in the sudio working on his next album due out later this year in 2003. Jim was actually Aaron Lewis' (singer of Staind) swimming instructor at Greenwood Park pool in Longmeadow, MA when he was a child. Jim is also very good friends with Mark Koch (lead guitarist of Wishbone). |
