Artist description
On a mathematical approach, the division of any number by zero originates an indetermination. Besides, on a limit calculus approach, we have that the division of any number by another number infinetely small, wich value tends to zero, results in a infinetely big value, wich could be called infinite. On computer programming, calculation executed by microprocessors follow the original mathematical concept, where an indetermination leads to a general program flaw, aborting its execution. The name 'Divide By Zero' alias DBZero is based on both the concepts - the limit tending to infinite and the concept of indetermination - the last one in solidarity with those computer users (like us) that had hours of work lost because of a general system flaw, originating from the lack of a validation test. Our band is an old project of old friends in search of our own musical identity, based on the mixture of our different sonorities, style and influences, acquired during our existences, without any limit imposition. Rock'n roll is our work's most outstanding influence, sharply identified by the use of caustic guitars and vocals, resulting on a blend of eletronic music in the widest meaning of the words 'eletronic' and 'music'. |
