Artist History
The band was originally formed by TJ Mapes and Brad Johnson who were later joined by singer Tony Pennuto and bassist Shawn Timmerman. Since then, the band has seen 3 other singers and a new bassist. Just recently, the band has returned to a trio with vocals headed by Shane Sikkema & Paul Friemel.
During the summer of 2002, 2nd Best opened for many large acts such as Drive Thru Records artists Allister and Homegrown, Yellow Card, The Honor System, House of Large Sizes, Lollipop Lust Kill to name a few. The band was featured on the Drive Thru Records stage for two dates along the Vans Warped Tour 2002. The band's 1st album as a reformed trio, "Put Your Heart Where Your Mouth is", debuted at #16 in CMJ for collge radio adds. |
