Artist History
Founded in 1998 by songwriters Mike Cristi and Scott Mueller, the core of Years Of Static has been developing for over 10 years. Long time friends, Mike (formerly of Non-Fiction and All Time Low), and Scott (formerly of Dog Eat Dog) have always had a musical chemistry, and always knew that they would someday form a band together. The first two years were spent developing songwriting skills, and each finding their collaborative niche, they wrote and recorded their debut album, 'this is not a test...' in their private recording studio.
After the release of the first record, the band was worked into a solid 3 piece unit. Adding drummer Darren Verpeut(formerly of Dreamworks Recording artsits OURS), was an easy, and energizing experience. Darren breathed life into the group after a long hiatus, and has begun working on their second album, which promises to be bigger and better than the first. |
