Artist History Tantrum of the Muse was born out of frustration in 1997, after Stephen and Udrick spent years working on demos and trying different sounds, being totally sick of the music scene, and wanting to change it, using their Christian faith...they began to play an unusual style that broke all of the rules in today's music. After a line up change in late 1997, they added bassist Jim Settle, and recorded a full length CD by June 1998 while still having a very limited fanbase. But as shows went, eventually they built a huge fanbase that spread around the East coast. Now ending the millennium, they have been added to very interested TAKEHOLD RECORDS family, who eventually picked up the debut CD after hearing the band at a music festival in Bushnell, IL! The first CD (the heart is a 2 headed sperm) is the bands take on the elements found in today's underground scene (metal, hardcore, emo, indie rock) taking these elements and totally ruining them making a very powerful album that has been making waves in the scene for almost 2 years, with a controversial message that the Christian scene doesn't want you to hear! In this CD you will hear TOTM ask questions, reveal dark secrets, and explore truth, which they found in Jesus Christ. It isn't candy coated, this is reality, this is truth, in its best and worst form, compiled onto compact disc for you. Is the Christian scene ready for TOTM? we hope so!
