Musical Influences
1) artists with strong presence (Madonna, Sade, George Michael, Bjork), 2) those emotional and passionate English bands (the Sundays---my favorite!, Radiohead, the Cure) 3) anything you can dance to (deep progressive funky house, Sasha+Digweed, trance, hip hop), and 4) plain and simply, Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians |

Artist History
Well, back in college, Sirsa was pale and her eyebrows were too bushy. However, she was in a full-fledged popular college band, called Andrews Basement, which toured all around her university and Providence, RI. As the lead singer, she led her band in well over 100 shows. When Sirsa finished up college, she returned back to her hometown of Los Angeles, where she was always tanned and had nicely shaped eyebrows. Since then she has performed tons of solo shows, done lots of session vocals for local LA band recordings and television shows, and written some songs for independent films. In Feb 2000, she put together a killer band to accompany her. She recently, however, quit doing the solo-artist thing and is now the lead singer of dance music duo, LAVA. Lava is like "Sade meets Radiohead meets deep house." For 24 hour info on upcoming Sirsa musical events, you can always call 310 495-2222. |
