Artist History
From the Pope: "The Clan started schemin' in 1994 at GoHoos, continuing a hip-hop history that dates back all the way to DJ Thomas Jefferson. At first their rhyne schenes were very seeyomplistic.... AABB style..... But over the last six years the Clan has evolved into complex schene patterns that really and truly do not have a genre that is yet definable (maybe best kept that way).... props should be given to the fece chamber, that wonderful Arlington pit of inspiration, and it should be noted that most schenes begin with clan members deliverin them to each others answering machines. That's about all the Pope can stoolicate on at the moment." From the Wordman: "Early cuts were hoopy freestyle over sample-driven murkiness. Hobe fled the country to harvest in the South American wilderness. Upon his return, the Clan reconvened with the current stripped-down bass, drums and keys line-up. Clan continues to roar into rebirth." |
