Artist description
Prairie Cats hail from the very heart of the heartland - Omaha, Nebraska. The high-energy 8-piece outfit delivers an all-original "pop-swing" mix of jump-blues, big band, rockabilly and latin grooves, delivered in an all-out rock attack. But it all swings, Jack...make no mistake about it. |

Press Reviews
"...smooth and polished...not much new music is coming out like this anymore...a modern swing feel with great songs and different styles...this CD ('til the daytime fades) will get a lot of airplay..." - Swanktown Radio, Minneapolis / St. Paul | "...(The Big One) swings from start to finish." - Lincoln (Neb.) Journal Star | "A frisky ensemble (that plays) with a noticeable confidence...tight and punchy...braiding traditional and modern swing, big band jazz, rockabilly and pop, with a serious brass presence. Prairie Cats are just as sharp live, and more unpredictable." - Jim Minge, Omaha World-Herald | "...a pleasure to see. The band, complete with horns, draws on (Jeff) Koterba's guitar, front and center. Sporting energy and enthusiasm aplenty, their sound measures up favorably to national touring bands..." "...roof-raising swing..." - B.J. Huchtemann, The (Omaha) Reader | "Very danceable and a pleasure to listen to..." - Swing Des Moines |
