Artist History Nufunk has been in existence since 1994. It was started by Patrick Barrentine in upstate Ny with a group called the Soul Clique. It was an R&B hip-hop group that did the underground club cicuit around the state and NYC. The band made a small splash on the scene, but along with success comes conflict and so the group succumbed to the snake bite of initial success. Discontent with the situation, the main producer of the group T-Rick packed up and headed to the south, the new Mecca of music. Armed with a host of connections, equipment, and an earful of funk, Nufunk found birth!
