Artist description Mr. Servon is No Limit’s Suave Soldier. When he decided to pursue his rap career at a young age, he ran into a number of occupational hazards. “I wrote for a couple of artists that got famous, that had hits out, and I never got paid for it. So I learned.” DJ KLC recognized Serv’s talent early on and took him under his wing. They began working together in 1992, and put out a single, “Get Your Serv On”. A few years later, Serv and KLC hooked up with Master P, who signed both to No Limit. The result was Mr. Servon’s gold-selling debut album, “Life Insurance.” His latest album, “Da Next Level,” is more lyrically lethal than ever. “This time around, I was focused…more mature, more expressive.” The album is also rich in contributions from Big Punisher, Silkk The Shocker, Fiend and Lil’ Soldiers.
