Artist description Spawned in May 1995, Dale-Drums & Gareth-Guitar went through a host of bass players, before settling on the four string bass monster known as Stuart, Formerly of Launceston band 'Syrup'. However the fame was to much for him, So boldly filling in where no-one has before is Mike 'Ozzy' Ozborne, famed player for Launceston band Freakshow. Rock fans are treated to an aural going over, Bowel loosening riffs hurled from the stage, with Gareth inciting the chaos, Mike jumping all over the stage & Dale laying down a murderous back beat. After notching up memerable, and extreamly well received gigs in 1999, Mary Cant Sleep certainly live up to the title of the 'HOTTEST BAND IN THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND'. Press Reviews 'Cornish Guardian' December 1999 - Mary Cant Sleep took to the stage next. A three piece, they simply stole the show, and indeed the night. With bassist Stuart (formerly of syrup) and Gareth on vocals, as well as Dale the drummer, Mary Cant Sleep are one of the most promising live acts in Cornwall right now. They blew the crowd away with a set of origional songs, which were enough to send rumbles all the way through the southwest. 'Cornish & Devon' November - Highlight of the night were Launceston trio Mary Cant Sleep. They played a stonking set, sending the crowd into a frenzy. You may have been lucky enough to catch their dazzling set at this years 'Castle Rock', This band just get better and better, this band are destined for big things. 'North Devon Journal' November - Oh you lucky people, it does'nt get much better than this. 'Mary Cant Sleep' ( you would'nt think she'd mind ) with songs like 'All Figured Out', 'Suddenly' & 'Fear of Fear', No one left the gig dissapointed, indeed most had purchased their execellent debut CD. Being the hardest working band in the Southwest THEY WILL BE BACK VERY SOON !!!.
