Artist History
Formed in the summer of 1993, bassist Mike Hrencecin, guitarist Sean Mendoza, and original drummer (the first of three) Davie Murray honed their sound on the streets of Tucson, AZ. With influences ranging from Idaho to Kansas, their sound incorporates a modern rock attitude, smooth melodies, and a hint of 70's rock. After playing through much of the southwest (Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and their home state of Arizona), the Lemon Merchants forged ahead with their debut CD release at the end of 1996. Currently, several years and drummers later, the core of the band is on a break from performing while they take time to re-group and work on new material. The band has several years worth of unreleased material and while they are not playing out regularly, they are always looking for opportunities to lend their music to other artists, radio programs, tv, etc |
