Artist History Formed in 1979 by Dr. Marion A. Hall to sing with the Des Moines Symphony in its inaugural concert at the Des Moines Civic Center, the Society has collaborated 19 times with the orchestra. Now celebrating its twentieth season, the Society performs major works with the Symphony, as well as its own roster of programs.
