    Artist History
As lead singer/lead guitarist for the world reknowned rock band "Y&T" for 17 years, Dave Meniketti helped lead the band to numerous successful hit songs, including a huge hit on radio & MTV with “Summertime Girls” (which tipped into the 40’s on the Billboard charts), performed on American Bandstand, toured the world multiple times, and recorded a total of 14 albums on London, A&M, and Geffen record labels, to name a few. Dave won a Bammy for “Best Bay Area Guitarist”, beating out other great players such as Neil Schon (Journey, also a Dave Meniketti fan), Craig Chaquico (Starship), and others. Many popular guitarists & recording artists have been fans of Dave's playing & have expressed being influenced by his playing. Dave has been listed in Guitar Player Magazine’s “Best of” polls for many years. When Y&T decided to break from recording & performing in the mid 90's, Dave felt that it was time to move on to other musical avenues. Though he’d been primarily a rock guitarist for most of his career, Dave felt his passion for “Blues” drawing him toward recording an album of blues/rock material, knowing in his gut that it was a natural thing to do. After assembling some great players, such as Bay Area bassist Myron Dove (Santana, Robben Ford, etc), Dave proceeded to record his debut solo CD “On the Blue Side”. This CD has already outsold previous Y&T records in Japan & Europe & has been met with worldwide critical acclaim. The band began performing live as The Dave Meniketti Group in Q3 1999. His first solo CD - the blues-tinged "On The Blue Side" - received high acclaim throughout the world, especially in Japan and Europe. Dave's second solo CD is simply titled "Meniketti," which he says is, "back to my melodic rock-based roots."

    Press Reviews
*REVIEW A - "On The Blue Side is definitely not your parents blues. With a powerful guitar sound and strong soulful vocals, it draws you in and takes you on an exhilarating and stirring ride . . . this is a must have in any collection . . . you won't be disappointed." Toni DeBiasi/Spartan Review" *REVIEW B - . . . one of the best Blues Rock releases to ever be recorded . . . simply mind-blowing! The power that Meniketti possesses in both his voice and guitar playing is simply energizing! It's not very often that I would drive for five hours to see a performance by any artist. Then there are exceptions to the rule. Dave Meniketti is truly a musician who puts his heart and soul into his music." The Atomic Chaser/Dedicated Rocker
