Press Reviews 'Confuzed- "Mental Irregularities" (P.O.B. 701 Centereach, NY 11720) I first heard these guys on the Long Island Punk Comp. and dug their track, "All I Need." I was psyched to hear more stuff by them, and then, "Whallah!," their CDEP winds up in my mailbox. Anyone who likes Social Distortion, The Swingin' Utters, Good Riddance and/or the Ramones will be a big Confuzed fan. They mix up what you like the most of all those bands into one nifty little ball of punk rock. Plenty of snotty vocals, complete with singalong choruses and "hey's." The music is really tight and they even show a lighter side of themselves with the acoustic sounding, "Faceless." There's a total of 5 songs on this CD, well worth yr cashola. The perfect addition to your CD collection. Watch out for these guys in the future. (CD)- Dr. Deathray'-Under the Volcano Confuzed:"Buy the World" The kids from Long Island prove why they have been hailed the best punk outfit from these parts. Songs like "6 Degrees..." and Red Sky Days" show the band taking on a certain maturity in their songwriting. If they follow along these lines, Confuzed may be a real prize for some label in the coming year.-Trydent Fanzine ...And the Cd of the week? Its by a band called Confuzed, and it's called "Its too late to give up now..." on Punks Need Lovin' Records. This band, from Reach-Around (centereach) New York, play the Fat/Epitaph kind of punk rock that the kids go nuts for. Poppy, catchy, and actually quite cute. The guitars rip, the drums kick, and the vocals are cool. Plus, the last song maybe be the punk rock anthem of the millennium....Punk Rock.
