Artist History
Started getting into music under the influence of pre New Power Generation Prince, and for some reason I decided to try and learn the saxophone. I found I was absolutely awful at wind instruments, and I decided to try out percussion instruments. I loved it, and for four years, I learned to play percussion in elementary school. In junior high, I was band leader in the 8th grade year (skipped 7th grade band to do art and technology classes) in the percussion section, and ended up playing 6 percussion instruments. During those years up til now, I thought myself how to use the keyboard, and I also discovered Nine Inch Nails. Trent`s music changed my direction in life, and also changed how I viewed music. I studied and practiced his songs and lyrical stylings, and also was interested in bands such as Metallica and KoRn, but nothing moved me more than NIN. For the past year, I`ve been writing my own music after teaching myself percussion, synthesizers, guitar, bass, and even the kazoo (the only wind instrument I can play). Besides writing songs for myself, I`m also assisting some friends of my own in producing tracks. Also part of a traditional band (as a guitarist). Lately also rediscovered the Cure with their latest release Bloodflowers and have been enthralled in Robert Smith`s band ever since...my second favorite band now after NIN. Disintegration is pure genius. And now, Billy Howerdel`s guitar playing in his band, "A Perfect Circle" has inspired me to further explore the hunk of wood and wire called a guitar mixed with effects galore. |
