Artist description
Deep in the woods of Western Massachussetts, where witches roamed and the word "micro-brew" still means a really, really small beer, in a secluded woodshed guarded by rabid gypsy-moth larvae, the degenerate duo known as SILAS BARNABY work their sonically subversive wonders. If you're looking for songs about plaster angels and plastered elves, chainsaws, explosives and whiskey, no one does it better than SILAS BARNABY. In fact, no one does it but SILAS BARNABY! "The bastard love-child of Frank Zappa and Hank Williams let loose in your computer... Be afraid. Be very afraid!" |

Artist History
DAVE attended seminary but abandoned a career in the priesthood when the voice of Jehovah spoke to him through the dormitory heating system and told him to make a goddamn joyful noise instead---he has been making noise ever since. MIKE was conceived on a beach in Virginia and born in Manhattan. Confused from the very start he moved around quite a lot and wound up in the backwoods of Massachusetts to sort it all out. Fluent in nothing, he decided to try music as a way to communicate with his fellow beings, and is finding that a difficult task as sobriety is a big part of communication. |
