MAC-11 was formed in '96. MAC-11 consists of four members: Manfred, John, Sky and Rick.The members of MAC-11 all have a excellent reference. Manfred on bass is a former member of L.W.S. Inc., is known for his special rolling basesound. The guitarist John has done several coverbands and played in Iron Fist. He has also done some solo projects, and he is known for a perfect timing.The drums are being beaten by Sky. He is the youngest guy among the oldies. His loud refresing sound makes MAC-11 thrash. He previously played in Nostradamus.Last but not least comes Rick. Rick is the lead singer of MAC-11. His voice has a great dynamic and makes MAC-11 what it is now.The Metalband which will bring Metal to the 21st century! |

After some changes in the cast the present line up of " MAC ELEVEN "is brought about and it seemed the perfect basis for a band that meanwhile became whatever the name makes you suspect: a powerful and ruthless weapon, a "MAC-11".Mid 1996 the first demo "Statement of Aggression" was released. The result was a good review in "Aardschok". In March 1997 the live demo "Ricochets" was released; good critics and several concerts in Holland followed. The right balance in the band seems to have been found on the demo "The Art of Making" of may 1998 and on this demo MAC-11 shows their musical capability. This demo was among others chosen to be "Demo of the Month" in "Aardschok".Strength, aggression and melody are mixed together so that a wide range of musical styles can be heard within the "Metal" and MAC-11 creates herewith their own style.HAVE YOU GOT THE GUTS TO PULL THE TRIGGER ????A Short report of the band members of MAC-11 follows as a biography, because of the rich musical experience of the band.Bassist MANFRED played with L.W.S.-INC. (Lunatics Without Skateboards) and with this band he released some demo's and the LP/CD "Welcome to the Asylum". Afterwards he started the metalband "EN MASSE"; with his stylish and rolling bassplaying he demands a leading part in MAC-11.Guitarist JOHN has many years of experience in cover bands. During the last few years he gave a lot of concerts with "IRON FIST". Apart from this he is working on solo projects and studio work with these his solid and technical playing shows.Drummer SKY played with "NOSTRADAMUS" first and after that he locked himself in the practice room to sharpen his technique. The result is that SKY can reach the top in the metal scene with his perfect drumming style.Last but not least, singer RICK caused a furore with the legendary band "JEWEL", with which he had a lot of appearances during six years. After the EP "La Morta" and the CD's "Nou al Moe?" and "Revolution in Heaven" the band died and a new period started. MAC-11 was founded and RICK adapted his voice to this band. Aggressive and Brutal singing takes turns with melodious singing lines with deep and equivocal lyrics and this takes care of variation in the songs |
