Artist History
Two years ago, Karana, a musician from Brazil, moved to Boston. Shortly after his arrival, he recorded a unique CD called Vancha Kalpa, melting Vaishnava (Indian) bhajans with World pop rhythms. Karana is introducing his original stile at concerts and colleges around Boston. His recent performances include Killian Hall-MIT, Big Easy Club, Ryles Jazz Club and Great Boston Festivals. Last year Karana brought his Brazilian influenced Bhajans to the airwaves courtesy of WERS, Emerson College's 50-year-old student radio station.Playing on live with musicians from his band, Karana was featured on the popular afternoon international music show, "Gyroscope". |
