Artist History
Johnny Neal Keyboards--Lead Vocals Johnny spent his younger years around his father's nightclub in Kansas City.There he was introduced touo Blues, R&B, Jazz, and Rock 'n Roll. Influences such as Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson, Smokey Robinson, and Otis Redding contribute to Johnny's dynamic expression in both his vocal and instrumental performances. In the 60's, Johnny was the front-man and singer for the Rising Suns and the Young Raiders. In the 70's, he toured coast to coast with the Jerm,which opened for Paul Revere & The Raiders, The Shirells, Steppenwolf, Thre Dog Night, Charlie Mussel-White, and others at the Nashville Pop Festival, attended by over 65,000 people. The Jerm recorded a single titled "Green Door" which hit BillBoard's "Hot 100" List and was rated 98 on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. Most recently, in October '95, Johnny was selected to play for and tour with WAR. Johnny's exceptional talents and personality have helped give these "friends" their recognizable identity.Mandy Cardoza--Drums, Harmony VocalsRhytmh & Blues are the heart and soul of Mandy Cardoza. Introduced to R&B at an earely age, the influences of such artists as Albert King, Chuck Berry and The Rascals contribute to Mandy's overall versatility and unique style. His professional career began in 1969 with Grand Spider, a nine-piece Blues band, performing the Inland Empire circuit. Mandy's talents expanded to Rock 'n Roll and Top 40 while playing with a then-young Sammy Hagar. Adding to his list of credits, the Henry Camerena Orchestra provided a Latin flavor, while his work with originaland country bands rounds out Mandy's four decades as a respectable and very versatile musician.Ron Rougier--Bass, Harmony VocalsBorn in Salem, Mass., June 7, 1952, Ron's career has spanned over 30 years: From a basis of classical and American Folk Music through The Beatles and Brittish Blues through Folk-Country Rock to the Blues of the 90's. Ron has been a member of many groups,opening for the likes of Ragin' Cajin', George Strait, and The Marshall Tucker Band. After three trips to Japan with R.B. Stone, Ron has been with The Blueprint for about four years and has been called one of the finest Bassits around and is noted for his solid time, good feel for the groove, and positive attitude.Jim Papastathis--Guitar, Harmony VocalsPlaying since his was 15, Jim's career got started in Northern California over twenty years ago. During this time, bands he was in had the honor of winning a Bay Area Music Award and writing with such great as Jefferson Airplane. Jim has been influenced by a wide range of artists: from Chet Atkins to Frank Zappa. Jim's style is rich in melody and emotion. |
