Artist description
My name is David L. Wicklein. I am the composer for Ivory Tower. I have a strong background in both classical and pop music. I've done many live performances in both venues and done studio work for many other groups. I've always wanted to create a type of music that could somehow blend classical and pop. My musical influences were groups with heavy harmonies, such as the Moody Blues, however, I believe that the female voice has more angelic qualities. My songs are largely inspired by nature and the cosmos. When you combine these things with angelic voices, I believe you have possibly one of the greatest forms of music. I also believe there are not near enough melodies being written today. And this is sad, because I believe that a strong melody is what drives a really good song. Hope you enjoy! All music and lyrics composed and arranged by David L. Wicklein. All instruments performed by David L. Wicklein. All vocals performed by Linda Wicklein and Kathy Coe. All cds are produced by Ivory Tower. All music copyrighted. |

Artist History
"My name is J.T.Westerman, and I am a retired musicproducer. I have a friend named David. He is the creator, composer, and brainchild of Ivory Tower.I use the term brain "child" deliberately. As achild, he was extremely gifted, and by the age of6 it was obvious a child prodigy was in the making.Only one problem. David was born with an impedimentin his left arm that was supposed to have preventedhim from ever playing music. But just as the bee isaerodynamically unsound, and is not supposed to beable to fly, it doesn't know that, so if flies anyway. And the David in my favorite movie, "SHINE", is notsupposed to fly, but he flies anyway. And my friendDavid of Ivory Tower, who I now know as a man, isnot supposed to be able to fly-but he flies nonetheless. And we, as listeners, have only to sit back, strapin, and enjoy the flight. My good friend David is aprolific composer, one of the best of our era. AndI count myself richer for having been borne on hiswings. I believe you will have the same experience." Sincerely, Jonathan Theodore Westerman Music Producer New York, New York 10022 |
