Artist History
Started in 1998, Hypnogogic is the effort of Marc Gowland (keyboards, programming, guitars, vocals). Utilizing the additional talents of Ryan Gowland and Kerry Gowland Hypnogogic was born from an idea to blend techno electronics with shoegazer drone. After spending a year of experimentation the debut CD was recorded on a 4 track in Hypnogogic's own studio (or garage depending on your idea of a studio). The CD, The Omnidirectional Waveform Holiday, is just that, an exploration of styles and sounds - a record of one year's trials and experiments. Recently, music by Hypnogogic was featured for the independent production of "Hurry Up and Die" at the Exit Theatre in San Francisco. Look for a follow up CD in late 2001. Check out the website for rare tracks and demos of new stuff. |
