Artist History
During the early eighties, Herve Paul played guitar with Floo Flash, a French band from the south of France who made their mark opening for U2 and REM . Moving to Paris to launch a solo career, he released his first album in 1991, “Une autre vie” (A New Life), co-written with Kent, a well know French pop artist. Another record followed in 1995, “Né en province” (Born in a Small Town), featuring four songs co-written with Marvin Etzioni, including the single "les rêves americains" (The American International Dreams ), which became a hit on the French indépendent radio network.Today, this very talented songwriter is back in force with a new record: H.P. This record efforlessly mixes Pop, R&B and Rock. The songs shine with a rich sonority, reaching the perfect alchemy between the garage-pop-psychedelia of French 60's scene sensation, Jacques Dutronc, or Ray Davies of the Kinks, and the American west coast rock of Tom Petty. When Paul sings, his raspy voice literally bewitches us. |
