Artist History
I became interested in composing/mixing electronicmusic when I was in seventh grade. Soon after I got the idea I began to look at equipment and learn about this and that. Such as, the means by which things are composed(i.e.: equipment, like drum machines, synthesizers, keyboards, samplers), how to wire sound systems, how to splice wires and other electronic skills. I studied any footage of electronic musicians I could find, to see how they achieved a certain sound(and still do). I studied DJ’s to get a basic idea of record mixing. Then I began to amass equipment and took on the name DJ Spectre and/or Spectre. Things progressed, as well as time, and I’ve started to complete more songs. Most of my previous attempts at songs lay in many digital parts and unrecorded. I am still continuing my endeavor. This is also one of the reasons that I spend a lot of time in my favorite place, a small, dark, and cold room in front of a computer! I spend most of my “free” day in front of my computer doing various things (progressing my life). I’m good with computers because of this. I also enjoy drawing, painting, as well as other art projects. I have been doing them all my life. My family encouraged it, and I got better at it. I have grown apart from the structured art systems, and no longer intend to peruse an art career(at this time). |
