Artist description
Although carb. has been considered "metal" by some critics, their style of music can be favored among anyone and everyone. Raspy, yet smooth and charismic vocals are backed by hardcore screams, whaling guitars, thumping bass, and pounding drum beats. Since the band's formation in 1999, this four-piece band has seen success unlike any of their other predecessor's in their hometown of Denton, Texas. The growth of the fan base has caused this band to become one of the premier headliners in North Texas. The live shows have captured the attention of audiences and labels since the beginning. |

Artist History
carb. was the original idea of singer/songwriter Brandan Narrell in 1996. During his residence in Alaska, Brandan composed 13 songs that would be the backbone of carb. Brandan moved to Denton and enrolled at a local university where he met bassist "Big" Dave Hammons. The two hooked up and began their project. Soon guitarist Marshal Dutton joined carb. and the band was almost complete except for a drummer. Through a meeting of some mutual friends, Gabe Musquiz formerly of Slow Roosevelt was later introduced to carb. Since the band's conception, carb. has played locally around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, opening for such larger acts as Kid Rock, Drowning Pool, Puddle of Mudd, Adema, Gravity Kills, Ill Nino, The Nixons, Pimpadelic, Bowling for Soup, Slow Roosevelt, Hellafied Funk Crew, JiBe, Tripping Daisy, Doosu, and PushMonkey. In April of 2002 carb. was voted on by thousands of Dallas / Ft. Worth fans for the 97.1 KEGL competition. carb. was also selected to play at the Vans Warped Tour 2002 in Dallas, Tx. by winning the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands for Dallas earning the # 1 place in the competition. carb. also performed for KEGL 97.1's Local Show after only four months together. The band has earned respect and a great reputation around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and has gained a large following of devoted carbonated fans. |
