Artist description
Artie Robinette composes and produces music at his home based project studio. While primarily a guitarist, the music's instrumentation demonstrates his overall musical identity. Song structure and melody take precedence over extended solo sections. Jim Ketch, Professor of Musc at UNC-CH, wrote in a letter: "I found myself appreciating the harmonic language used by Mr. Robinette; the songs feature chord progressions that are very pleasant to the ear yet full of occasional surprises for the more sophisticated listener." On the technical side, he adds: "The production values are excellent. The music is clear, vibrant, and mixed superbly." Artie's submission "Axiomatic", received a "perfect 10" from editor Michael Laskow in Recording Magazine's Reader's Tapes column. His song "Trinidaddyo" is formerly #1 on the Jazz chart at amp3! |
