Artist description
28/8/2 are the brain child of one C.F. Reis, who does everything ranging from music and lyrics to vocals, playing various instruments and programming. By the sounds of it, Mr. Reis is not a happy man. For this is hardly a cheerful collection of songs. Think Nick Cave/The Birthday Party blended in nicely with some very early Pulp stuff. But fear not, the result of this is rather charming: beautiful, twee and slightly disillusioned sounding indie.

It's not every day one gets a recorded delivery packet from sunny Brazil. Why this packet also contained a plastic carrier bag and a set of presumably Brazilian newspaper supplements is best left to the imagination. Still, someone obviously went to great length to make sure this demo reached the UK in splendid condition. Now why would they do that? Because they think they're the best thing since sliced Marmite, I presume.
