Artist History
The music was created as an accompaniment to The mtl/ART project, a series of experimental short films inspired by artists crucial to the Montreal experience. The films have been broadcast extensively on Bravo! in Canada and at film festivals around the world. The album is a result of five years' work.
SPECIAL NOTE: Certain listeners have requested that a handful of tracks from the mtl/ART CD called "The Havana Suite" (Cuban-flavoured folk) be made available, on their own, on a separate CD. A DAM CD of the HAVANA SUITE EP has been made available at this site.e |

Press Reviews
" Tony Babinski's Music from the mtl/ART Project is a combination of classical, electronica, folk, and spoken word... at the core lies an art album that doesn't want to be dissected or translated. It just wants to be listened to over and over again as you enjoy it, each time picking up a tiny bit more asyou travel down the landscape of sound and vision that the music paints for you. This album is a reminder of the beauty in life... it is a reminder of everything natureand man has to offer."? In Music We Trust"The product of an imagination that knows no limits!"? Club Culture" A poetic foray ino the Montreal art community's tired, colourful soul" ?
