Artist History The band has been together for the last three years. For ten years prior to starting the band Saint James, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, toured the world with an all Japanese combo while similtaneously doing spy work for the CIA. He was incarcerated, shot, and almost executed in Zimbabwe before he ran into Bassist Skid Roper who was on a world tour with Mojo Nixon playing washboard, harmonica, mandolin, clarinet and penny whistle.They met in Bangkok when Skid bailed St. James out of prison.He'd been locked up for supplying guns to local rockabilly insurgents. They stole a heliocopter and fled the country to meet world class Drummer Danny Cress in the Phillipines where he was training thousands of percussionists to take over the world by playing rock and roll.Numerous second guitarists have gone through the band but all died under mysterious circumstances and now no one seems to want the position. St. James, Skid and Danny underwent a secret ritual in Egypt that supposedly gave them the power to read each others minds which explains why they play so well together. The band has opened for G-Love, R.L. Burnsides, Moby Grape, Royal Crown Revue Yo Mama and several other nationally famous acts at the internationally renowned Casbah thanks to one of their biggest fans Tim Mays. They hope to release their latest CD, Saint James goes Girl Crazy, sell several million copies and retire to Costa Rica where Danny can open another Drum clinic.
