Artist History
SHH was formed in late 1994, starting with the idea that kids in El Paso were ready for something new... something that challenged them consciously and politically. Throughout their existance the band continually organized political protests, benefits and released "For Humanity, Against Neoliberalism" and "They Cant Watch All of Us All of the Time" on their independant distribution Yerba Mate Records. While the first release "They Can't Watch All of Us..."contained poppier yet still politicized songs, it was on the second release "For Humanity..." that SHH was at their angriest and most articulate. Disbanded in winter '99, the members continue to work both apart and colaboratively on creative projects, including: Jon C's ongoing graphic art and music projects like a colaborative electronic effort with drummer Jason Secondhand and original guitarest Adan B. as well as his solo N-Sect project (available here on mp3.com), Dave Secondhand's newest musical endevour... Break Even Records recording artists The Fla Flas (catch them on tour or through their website at http://go.to/flaflas), and Fransisco Azul and Omar's ongoing political affiliations. |
