Artist description
From the uptempo pop of the title track to the outright funkiness of "Joe's Sleepwalking" and "Elements" to the smoky late night vibe of "Moon Met The Sun"; Paula's bare bones bass playing and sultry vocals provide the perfect foil for Carnes's jazz/groove style and Spight's cut-and-paste antics.Co-produced by Paula and Michael Romanowski, this auspicious debut posits her as a contending singer/songwriter with a serious band that cuts across many genres. |

Artist History
As a principal songwriter for the now-defunct Minneapolis band Sugar Marie, Paula Murray gained a reputation as a complex and ironic songwriter on the Midwest acoustic circuit. By abandoning acoustic for an electric trio (drummer Kevin Carnes of Broun Fellinis and guitarist Ralph Spight of Victims Family, Hellworms), Ms. Murray has concocted a tantalizing array of treats to wrap around her considerable songwriting talents. |
