Artist History
Korey started writing music at the age of 3. In 1989 he recieved the Pete Carpenter film scoring fellowship from BMI and moved to Los Angeles where he apprenticed with Mike Post creating music for LA Law, Quantum Leap, and Hunter. In 1991, Korey left the commercial music world to accept a graduate travel grant from teh Hutchinson Foundation which funded almost two years of music study in Bali, Ghana, and India. In 1993, Korey returned to Kansas City to accept a composer-in-residence position and pursue a Masters in Composition. He later joined Wheeler Audio Associates as staff composer, where he has served since 1994. |
