    Press Reviews
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Chuck van Zyl/STAR'S END (reviewing Rolling Curve): "Rolling Curve is truly devoted to music based on the relationship between sound, time, perception and mood. The music seeps into your room, through the keyhole and around the door jam, like smoke from a smoldering concept or mist from a descending idea." +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ EXPOSE' (reviewing The Unseen): "Traces of ethnic influences, mostly via percussive technique (programmed/sampled, but in many cases sounds so real it's scary) can be heard on several tracks, with the eight-minute 'Logarhythm' being the standout. The opener 'Morning Mothra' and closer 'Evening Mothra' deserve special note, both gently shimmering and reflective melodic pieces sans-percussion that are perhaps two of his best pieces ever. Highly recommended." +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ EXPOSE' (reviewing Holographic Tapestries): "Watkins has long proven his genius and musical diversity over a long string of albums. His influences range far and wide, from classical to ambient and progressive rock to pop. However he fuses these, it's always done originally and dynamically, full of vitality and effervescence. Another great and different album." +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ GOLDMINE (reviewing "Holographic Tapestries") "Keyboardist Kit Watkins has in recent years been churning out electronic music of various sorts, and all of it quite good. His latest solo release is one of the most intriguing, challenging, and musical to date." +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ KEYBOARD Magazine: "Labyrinth" was voted fifth place in the 1982 Keyboard Reader's Poll Awards for keyboard album. ". . . the production is excellent and the keyboard work solid . . . a thoroughly satisfying creation." +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ NEW YORK REVIEW OF RECORDS (reviewing "wet dark & low"): "A recording that reveals him to be in a class with such contemporary greats as Jan Hammer or Wendy Carlos. His science-fiction approach to New Age is a bonanza for those who reveled in such '70s Progressive Rock bands as Happy The Man and Camel, both of which he recorded with."
