Artist description Endangered Species is a powerhouse progressive metal band out ofMoncton, New Brunswick, Canada. The band creates a unique stylewhich is a melting pot for all of the band members' influences, from the70s experimental progressive bands (Kansas, Pink Floyd, Supertramp),to the metal bands of the 80s (Iron Maiden, Queensrhyche, Metallica), tothe 90s alternative (Pearl Jam, Korn). The entire band is very seriousabout making great music and have chosen to dedicate their time andenergy into making this band a success.

Artist History Endangered Species formed in 1997 and within a few months releasedan EP entitled, "Foreshadow". Foreshadow recieved excellent response,"These guys rock!" --Blair Patton, C103FM, Moncton NB;"Armageddonic rockers...bottom line, this must be one hell of a band tocatch live!" --Greg Perry, writer/columnist, Times Transcript, MonctonNB. In 1998, the band regrouped and acquired the services of vocalist Randi Porter, and keyboardistGraeme McCausland. The change of lineup was necessary to reflect the direction that the bandwanted to take going into the 21st century. Over thirty tunes were written within the year that followedand a dozen were chosen to go on the upcoming release. Their ability to write that much qualitymaterial in such a short period of time is a testament to the song writing talent of every member ofEndangered Species. The band has completed recording of their first full length album entitled, "Colours Among the Blind"and will be released this January. MP3 samples are available at this web site now. The band will betouring this spring to promote this latest release. Endangered Species also has plans for a conceptalbum to be released next year entitled, "Shame of Kaine". From thought-provoking lyrics, classical breaks, soundtrack landscapes; to in-your-face double-bassriffs, the versatility and intensity of Endangered Species is quite a specticle to witness.
