Artist description Singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist from the Detroit, Michigan area. His songs are a collection of stories about road trips, observations on life, and a few attempts at social commentary, with an occasional goofy song thrown in for good measure. He also enjoys bringing to his audiences a fine selection of songs by singer/songwriters he admires.

Artist History Charlie's been singing for more than 30 years now and playing guitar for 26 years (and he's not tired yet). He's been active in several Detroit-area bands over the last 15 years, and has been primarily a solo artist for the last 6 years. Charlie was one of the early headliners at the Off-the-Wall Acoustic Coffee House in Walled Lake, Mich. and hosted the open mic at Gotham City Cafe in Ferndale in 1996 and 1997. He's also part of a collective known as Big Green X, five musical friends who specialize in lots of harmonies and a wide range of folk and rock songs.

Group Members Charlie Monterey (vocals and guitars). Often joined by Charles Sanderson on percussion.
