Artist History Paulo Alegria (NeKryXe) and Miguel Ribeiro (Mig), forms "Zurich Pound in Plastik Welt", the name was reduced for ZURICH POUND, for obvios reasons. Extremely influenced by 4AD waves during the 80's decade, specially by Michael Brook and Pieter Nooten, former member of the mitological Clan of Xymox, had initiated this project in March of 1989, they had made in 1990 a small cassette edition of " zur.w.one ", the first demo recorded, they become without doubt, into the pioneers of the Portuguese electronic pop, already with 10 years of existence and without nothing officially released, they still continue in the asset following the same string that motivated them. They record generally just one time per year, thus counting on an enumerated musical archive. To make movies sountracks was the original ideia that gave life to ZURICH POUND, but until today this wish was never obtained. They had appeared only two times acting live in 1990, and they had never come back to stage together, they devote today themself in exclusive studio work in. Currently NeKryXe is specially devoted to NEON where he has obtained a small place in the alternative techno market, however Mig advance with FRAME still without a publishing company. In 1998, after 8 years, they had both meets again on stage but in different projects, it does not exist forecast nor interest in coming back in live concert, however ZURICH POUND will continue under the shadow as ever and forever, until the death apart them.
