Press Reviews
Everything about Gorgon was created to seduce and pull the listener in whether it is from the hard driving infectious grooves, the seductive vocals of Valenta, or the episodic nocturnal moans of ecstasy.Legends MagazineIf you count yourself among the living, GORGON will entertain you with an enjoyable trip into the world of dark, gothic groove and what music might sound like if you were dead.Maris the GreatOverall, Gorgon is one of the best CD's I've heard this year -even compared to label-backed, studio produced bands of a similar nature..Blu - Editor - Starvox MagazineThis band definitely knows how to combine industrial and goth music together and make it work.Wrapped in WireOn a scale from 0 to 10 I give this cd a 10+ . This cd is now one of my favorites and there are not many. It seems that someone has listen to my prayers :) This cd is incredible good.Scope X - GermanyA darkly sensuous sound oscillating between the sexy trip-hop gloom and the industrial coldness along some gothic reverberations, this is what Scary Valentine is all about.Final Man - Electroage - CanadaA wonderful, almost concept-sounding, album that goes from dark, yet upbeat and thumping, electronic-based songs to smooth relaxing ethereal ambient songs. Possibly the most professional and listenable album ever to come from a band to class their work under the cybergoth genre. Amazing stuff from a band that WILL hit the big time if they continue to create music of this quality.Cyber Goth MagazineA perfect combination of EBM, Synthie and something of wave,Otto Rios - Distortion Sect - MexicoBand of the Month for February 2000!Pro-Goth WebzineThis album, with both strong vocals and interesting music, has the potential to appeal to a broader group than just the more hardcore of industrial fans. It’s a good sign that Scary Valentine has the ability to make an album of this quality after only a year together.Chuck Myers - Damaged TransmissionWhile many bands make the attempt, Scary Valentine succeed in creating a sound that is just at home in a crowded dance club as it is chilling out in bed at 3 in the morning.Daniel Hinds - The Plagueexcellent. Quite a breath of fresh air from a lot of stuff I’ve been hearing recently. The music is wonderfully melodic at times, and the whole CD sounds effortless (the sign of talent). On the whole I was very impressed.Chris Jess - DJ at The Tower in Dublin IrelandThe music of Scary Valentine, led by the beautiful voice of Valenta, evolves through ethereal arrangements and sonorities, that are enforced by subtle industrial drives.Jean-Francois Fecteau - Le Vestibule Radio Show – CFOU 89.1 FM CanadaI don't imagine it's going to take very much effort, or take very long, for this band to become a real force to be reckoned with.DJPsionic - CJSF - 93.9 Cable fm Vancouver, B.C., CanadaElectromagnetic |
