Artist description
This series of songs is a story about a journey that took me to the source of my beleifs and knowledge. It's a journey of true mind and true feeling, and everyone follows this path which leads them away towards the place where they emerged. We appear as followers and leaders down this path, but we are truly equal in our hearts. |

Artist History
In the summer of 1989, by invitation of Honpa Hongwangji of Kyoto, Japan, a group of American Jodo Shin Buddhist youths travelled through central Japan. Of the multi-faced Japan we encountered, it was the sacred sites which left the deepest impressions on our hearts and minds of the pilgrims. By returning to the source, we began the personal quest of opening ones universal source of spiritual awakening. Responding to that lure of sacred sites, a pilgrim, Kurt Kurasaki, musically provokes the reflections of returning to the home of homes. It is with a sense of deep gratitude that we dedicate these musical reflections to the pilgrimage. Rev. Hiroshi Abiko, Palo Alto, CA. |
