Artist History
Olemus, a metal- band from the Austrian- German- border area was founded in september 1993 by Robert Bogner, Simon Öller and Kanzla. At the average age of 14 years the guys recorded their first demo- tape which is called "learning to die". Even then their trademark was to combine harmonic and aggressive elements. The second demo- tape (called "blind") has been sold more than 100 times. At that time the band played a lot of little gigs in their nearer environment.Things started to happen really fast in August 1996, when the debut- album called "Bitter tears" has been produced and released by the band:600 people were watching the show when Olemus presented their first CD. "Bitter tears" was played by radio- stations and almost well reviewed by magazines. The band sold more than 1000 copies of "Bitter Tears" only in the area where they live.Since that time Olemus played support- gigs for Bans like: Samael, Moonspell, Six Feet Under, Dimmu Borgir, Schweisser, Stuck Mojo, Rammstein, Bruce Dickinson,...Anno 1998, after a few changes the line up has been fixed. The second CD "Psycho - Path" has been produced by the guys themselves like their debut album before. The music got more melodic, whithout a loss of aggressiveness. Now Olemus have already completed new songs, which are waiting to be released. |
