Artist History
Since the insemination into Las Cruces, New Mexico's community of local bands over eight years ago, New Mexican Erection has continued to grow and develop. With addition of bass player, Steve "Bevo" Fardal in 1999, the band has reached a new level of symbiosis. N.M.E. is now complete with near-perfect timing and delivery, complex musical transitions within each song, and an overall feeling of dynamic energy. Comprised of core members, vocalist Travis Manning, Guitarist Miguel “Keeb” Romero, and drummer Ray Ryneer, N.M.E. has remained dedicated to their music and are currently touring in support of their newest effort “Innuendo,” which was released in late Spring 2003. New Mexican Erection has recently founded Nasty Cactus Music who has partnered up with Gryphon’s Egg Studio to become Southern New Mexico’s only full-service music production company specializing in studio recording, CD duplication, and music promotion.

Press Reviews
“N.M.E. dabbles with many different sounds on Innuendo, going from absolutely harder than Phil Anselmo and his Texas boys on songs like “Slob” and slowing down to a little mellower sound on “Spiderwerks” and “A New Day. On the title track, the prominent bouncy signature sound of the N.M.E. bass seduces you into the song.”-Pat Garcia, The Round Up
“Out of the south and into your mouth, comes Las Cruces, New Mexico’s latest music mudslide---New Mexican Erection (NME).”-Gingher Leyendecker, The Round Up
“(Groovecore EP) has loud beats with intelligent lyrics that fills the room with its presence.”-Sunny Subramanian, The Prospector
“While their name might make you giggle, there’s absolutely nothing funny about their sound, which plays like a knee to the solar plexus. New Mexican Erection is heavy and make no apologies about it.”-Pat Berkery, Cosmic Music Network
“(NME) fuses macabre lyrics and hard driving grooves to form a tight knit musical scheme.”-Myra Keene, Independent writer
