Artist History
Once there was a band called Pop n' Dough. It had three members: dave, katie, and Maurice. They were an innocent enough indie band, but when katie got married and quit the band, they needed a replacement, so dave and maurice recruited katies younger sister kerry, a 16 year old red-haired punk irish lass with a wee temper. So dave, maurice, and kerry practiced a few times in dave's parents' barn until maurice was forced to retire from service when his work called for him to go away on weekends. So kerry and dave decided to carry on, recruiting kerry's friend Ben to play drums. We called ourselves the Constituents, and later the Standoffs, but finally we decided on our current name. This trio practiced a couple times a week for a month and made up some indie and punk tunes. But something was missing. We didn't know what it was until jake showed up to practice one day and counted off for a few songs. We had found our punk rock vocalist. With jake on board we made a 5 song demo with a 4-track dave bought, and thats pretty much where we are now. We played a party at ben's house, which may have been our final show 'cuz ben and jake may not be able to play anymore. So we'll all just have to wait and see. e |
