Artist History 8mm Overdose was formed in Hawaii in 1993 by singer/guitarist Jack Patterson under the name MACHINE. The line-up of this twisted creation was solidified in 1996 with bass player Robb Graves and drummer Kirk Powles. Wavering little in musical style since the bands inception, 8mm Overdose persists with a vengeance in maintaining their old-school hardcore and thrash metal roots by combining the heavy guitar riffs of modern extreme metal with the simplicity and aggression of the early 80's hardcore sound. This lethal mixture attracts fans of all styles to the intense energy delivered on stage during live performances and produces a formidable force both unique and distinctive to the band. With their increasing exposure in the new millennium, 8mm Overdose has released their 3rd, and most defining recording to date, Harder Than Hardcore. 8mm Overdose performed most recently at the 1st annual LA Metalfest (part of the Metal Mania concert series) and headlined a tour of Japan in April 2001. Tour dates for Korea, Malaysia, Australia and Europe are also being scheduled. Rarely has musical deviance and warped talent been served up in such generous helpings as with this trio. Like a punch in the face, 8mm Overdose is hard to ignore.

Your new cd is amazing! I've only spun the cd once and I was floored at the quality of the music, production, the whole package. Equal parts thrash, punk, and grind - it's a very eclectic mix.
