Artist History
HDC was formed in the Spring of 1997 on the heels of legendary Colorado band Roots Revolt. Our first gig was in November 1997 opening for long time mentors Mad Professor and Lee "Scratch" Perry. We have since shared gigs with the likes of Tricky, Dub Syndicate, Steel Pulse, Long Beach Dub All Stars with H.R., Darryl Jenifer Dub Project, Alpha Blondy, Andrew Tosh, Luciano, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Black Eyed Peas, and Gregory Isaacs, among others. We have toured with Burning Spear and have been fortunate to play at the world's greatest venue, Red Rocks Amphitheater, four times. We have played at Reggae on the Rocks two years in a row and are featured on the live CD, "Voodoo, Sacraments, Oddities, & Other Holy Anthems." We also enjoy playing all night dance parties and have sold out Boulder's Club Underground two years in a row on Halloween. We are currently working on our soon to be released debut album "The Last Champion" which was engineered, co-mixed, and co-produced by former Death Row Records in-house engineer Scott Wolfe. Scott has also co-mixed and engineered albums for Hive and countless others. |
