Artist description
Dig Dug is pop-punk that (fortunately) doesn't fall into genre of most pop-punk. They (us), unlike most pop punk bands, have a sound that is unique (well, at least to me...). Critics may say that they sound like Green Day for instance (which isn't to say that they're not an influence), but they are in no ways a clone of that or any other band. |

Artist History
Dig Dug began sometime in 1995. We played a lot of shows for the first 2 years, then we got really lazy for a year or so. Now we're playing shows again and we have a CD out on Act Your Age Records (my record label). We're on three 7"s too. |

Press Reviews
"I don't know if it's just because I haven't been listening to as much stuff in the poppier vein of punk or what, but this record, this band, is totally fresh sounding. Fresh as in not at all stale and tired and boring. Hand claps along with some awesome, catchy guitar work, greatlyrics, perfect production... all the pieces fit just exactly right for a prize-winner of a 7" - with one exception - some of the songs are way too long. It's been scientifically proven the best punk/rock songsare those topping out a 2 1/2, 3 minutes tops. Otherwise, keep it up. --MRR, Vol. 184, Sept. '98 (IM) |
