Artist History Crut began in 1992 as a one-man project by John Book. The idea was to create a "group" of different characters and see how far it could go. Some thought it was an actual group, but it was never a secret that the "group" of three MC's and one DJ was just a transplanted Hawaiian living in Washington State. Crut has recorded 19 albums, but is looking to collaborate with anyone and everyone, be it for productions or remixes. The "Week" album was nominated last year in the Hawai'i Music Awards.
