Artist description
The Watson Family
Straight from the heart to the tape to the stage, the WATSON FAMILY gets it on in every sense of the word. With influences ranging from Marvin Gaye to the Sex Pistols. These self-proclaimed pioneers of "punk rock r and b" are making some serious waves in the "new" music industry. What??!! an unsigned band that sells out shows and has two full length CDs, plus vinyl??!! Believe it. The crew sets the mood and far beyond with their captivating live performances and studio recordings.
No one leaves a WATSON show unaffected by the pure energy and charm of Ernie G. vocals/guitar, J.J. vocals/bass/keys, Creeper guitar/backing vocals, Presto One turntables, Whitey drums, and Brother J. guitar. The sextet was founded in 1999 and has since played with such acts as Long Beach Dub All Stars, Janes Addictions (Perry Ferrell), Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Fishbone, many more. Just check out their new release entitled, "Tales from the Wolfden". This album hits home with its self awareness and jubilant angst witnessed in such songs as, "Upinit", "Not For Sale", "Get It On", and the rebellious anthem, "What Are We Fighting For".
