Artist History
WAE is a one time Swiss-Egyptian gang turned gangsta-rap band. Our history spans 5300 years. We began as Pharaoh-like minstrels until we did too much of the king's lady, Pharoah Faucett, which caused some trouble with Tut (so-called king... more like Pansy). The bitch (Tut) mummified our music, which is the first REAL hip-hop, some 5284 years ahead of its time. Now that all these suckas have cashed in on our pimpin' technique, WAE is here to educate the public. Wack Ass Egyptians are currently in the process of turning Norway on its ear.

Press Reviews
There was much anticipation about the Wack Ass Egyptians (WAE) first live
show outside of Switzerland. With 48 bands going on ahead of them, it was
clear the crowd was here to see one band. Fortuneatly for WAE, that band
had to cancel so WAE got bumped up to their slot. The crowd consisted of
thousands of Pharoh like wannabees who were geared up with 40z of Private
Stock in one hand, and cans of lighter fluid in the other. It was clear
this crowd was going to rock or be rocked. As several concert goers lit
themselves on fire in protest of the limit of five 40z per person, the Wack
Ass Egyptians took the stage. With D-Nice on guitar, Shawn Oxy Cotten on
bass, and Joe Dirt hittin the skins, the crowd anxiously awaited the
appearance of Keyboard Mixman QE2. As the band jammed on, there was an
explosion atop of the Pyramid directly behind the stage. Sliding some 200
feet down the pyramid wall was QE2. As they started to play "Rub your legs
like a cricket", Jimmy Swiss and Warm the Eskimo came riding in on camels
with mics in their hands. At this point the crowd went wild. The
deliciously crisp style of the band was matched only by the scrumptiously
smooth lyrics of Swiss and Skimo. The band then slowed things down a bit
with the next song, "My Turban is small". This was smoother than the Nile
frozen over in January. And you could tell this song was very personal to
Jimmy Swiss. The band then went into their other hit songs. Songs like
Pyramid of Riches, From Womb 2 Tomb, The Oasis, Stinky Sandals and an old
classic, Side B. The band ended the show with the song "When I Say", in
which the crowd was with them every step of they way. As the band rode off
on Camels into the sunset, it left this columnist wondering when these crazy
pharohs would perform again.

Follow-up:
It's been over a month since I attended one of the greatest live
performances I have ever seen. Better than CATS? Maybe not. But this is
one show you must see. As far as when and where their next show will be,
that's a question harder to understand than Chinese Hieroglyphics. Rumor
has it, the band has made it's way to the US. And several band members have
been spotted in the Boston area. Our spies say all of the band members are
playing in other bands as a way to keep their skills sharp. You didn't hear
me say Dogtown did you? Look for an explosion on the Boston Scene this
summer. |
